香港出生，大學畢業後，從事於有關産品設計的工作及從商。早年在中文大學，香港大學研習 中國水墨畫，為近年的創作打下了深厚的藝術根基。張綺娜先後追隨鍾育淳，林天行，陳成 球，聶華匡等藝術名家學習，將傳統及現代水墨融會貫通。
張綺娜早期醉心於傳統花鳥；後期因喜愛旅行，陶醉於名山大川，對大自然更為喜愛，她將傳 統的筆法，融合現代的構思，將浪漫的感覺發揮在筆墨之上，創作了別具一格的“炁”象山 水。
多年來受邀參加中國香港，中國大陸，法國巴黎，韓國，日本，塞爾維亞等地展覽，作品更被 收藏。
張綺娜為香港墨化齋主人，墨色行社創社會長，現為香港當代創意水墨畫會會長，香港美協會 員，香港現代水墨畫會會員，香港四維畫會會員，香港緣畫會會員。
2020 年悟道之“炁“入選全球 500 水墨畫大展，及”無有入無間”入選第三屆石景宜博士 杯。

Aesthetics as a branch of philosophy is increasingly detached from the visual representation in Art. Practitioners are fascinated by concepts and lack mastery of brush work. The merit in visualising 'Art' is being jeopardised by distorted conceptualisation and myriads of ideas in the contemporary society. Martha is one of the last defenders conserving Chinese painting style attempts to reflect a great degree of the culture's ideational presuppositions.
The subtle atmosphere created by oozing ink technique produces the other-worldly realm which echoes tranquil feeling found in traditional landscape paintings. The mineral colours are carefully composited to produce a rich coloured effect. Amongst the hazy 'Qi', fine lines and elaborate details

Samantha ∙ 止觀
Qi, defined as the vital force that sustains all fauna and flora on earth, undergoes and creates constant transformation. Like its fellow natural forces, Qi is not visible by the naked eyes but it is very much visible metaphysically- it is meant to be felt and imagined by us. Its existence and form are ever changing and do not conform to any one set of rules for how it should be like.

Gathering ∙ 聚有時
Aestheticism of beauty, grace and dynamism is germinated here to create a focus of attitude, experience and perception that are seized by the dreamlike contemplation amongst the natural landscape. The Chinese deified use of black and white is texturized on the medium of Xuan paper and by the oozing technique. Rigid lines of the mountain reverberate with the rate of mist to haze over the landscape, turned into a surreal realm of timeless, spaceless multiverse.
In this series, Martha approached her paintings with an objective of expressing her inner self, the sombre expressions from her interior is projected onto the exterior of the monumental landscape. Despite the use of sombre theme, throughout this series, shades of subdued colour are building up like condensation of the water cycle to express the silver lining.
